It’s the most wonderful time of the year: NYC edition

My Christmas present from one of my friend’s this year was to go to NYC. Neither of us have been to NYC during the holiday time, and let me tell you the city is such a magical place during the holidays! There’s so many things to see and do! Stay tuned to see what we got into this past weekend!

When in the city , would your trip be truly complete if you avoided the crowds of times square? We tried not to spend too much time in times square, but it’s always nice to take a stroll through here and do some sight seeing, especially at night!

Also would your NYC trip be complete if you didn’t take a stroll through 5th AVE and other random streets. It’s so much fun strolling the streets of NYC! Everything is all decked out for Christmas and you just get into the holiday spirit! We didn’t do any shopping other than stopping in to souvenir shops because neither of us had shopping in mind when we came to the city.  However it was nice to see the beautiful window displays as we were walking by different stores! We did however stop in at Macys and it was so packed but we walked around a bit any how to check out their Christmas decorations!

New York’s most exciting hotel experience!

How cute is this church?

We also stopped by Radio City! it was all decked out for Christmas and looked pretty! As we kept exploring we came upon the grand central terminal.

After exploring for a bit, we stopped in at central park! Central park is so pretty every season of the year no matter when you stop by. It’s also a very nice change of scenery after spending the day in the hectic city! Perfect for taking a little stroll and unwinding, while at the same time taking in a gorgeous scenic view.

Rockefeller Center is also a must visit place! The Christmas tree was not lit yet, none the less it still looked pretty!

And while in the city, you just must pay a visit to the international icon of the New York skyline, the empire state building!!

When in NY and passing by the trump tower, you must stop and visit the new president am I right?

We also checked out the public library, it had beautiful Christmas decorations up and it was perfect for warming up a bit! The architecture of this building is so unique and pretty too inside and out! so cool to just walk through the library and sight see. Not to mention the library is probably the only place in the city where you don’t have to wait 40 minutes to use the bathroom! not even joking here!

Bryant park also had the holiday vibe going! Unique shops were open, people were doing some Christmas shopping, the Christmas tree was decorated, the lights were on. Definitely puts you in the holiday spirit!

We had a wonderful time in the city this weekend! It was so much fun. Hope you guys enjoyed reading about our experience and hopefully you got some inspiration of things to do or see when you happen to visit NYC! If you visited NYC before, what are some of your favorite places to stop by?

EXPLORING MACK TRUCKS HISTORICAL MUSEUM AND AMERICA ON WHEELS

Just because New York’s weather is turning brisk, doesn’t mean adventures have to end! Those who love adventure can’t just stay home when there’s an extended weekend in store. To kick off Veteran’s day weekend, my friend and I decided to venture out and check out some neat museums not too far from home.

The first pit stop was Mack truck’s historical museum! Before you even enter the museum, you get scenic views as you drive through Allentown! When you enter the museum, you get greeted by friendly staff and get a tour guide who shows you around the entire museum! Guys, if you are ever in the area this museum is a must see! It has so many neat things and it has something to offer for every one, even if  you think you’re not into trucks.

(The engine looked awesome)

Next pit stop was America on wheels museum! Also a museum that didn’t disappoint!

And of course if you’re in a new town you will have to check out their mall and other shopping centers, so that we did before heading home! None the less it’s been an adventerous day!

Also happy Veterans Day and thank you to all who are serving or have served!thank you for your service and sacrifice! May God Bless you & America!❤️

Seattle Adventures

Sorry folks, I have been missing in action this past week! I flew out to visit my aunt and uncle in Seattle, and what a glorious week it’s been! All three of us are adventurous souls so we ventured out a lot during the week. The entire Washington state is just the most instagrammable place in the world. From gorgeous mountains, forested islands, epic waterfalls, to unique cities, every one is bound to make memories that will last a life time. If you’re curious to see what we got into stay tuned!

When in Seattle, one must go on the space needle at night and see the entire Seattle from up above! The view is amazing, and there’s a restaurant upstairs so you can grab coffee or dinner, enjoy the night life from up above,  and catch up with a friend. Once you’re finished taking in the view, you can walk around downtown Seattle and check out what it has to offer. Seattle night life is like no other and won’t disappoint.

If you’re in Seattle and love shopping as much as my aunt and I do, the supermall of the Great North West won’t disappoint, I promise! It is ginormous and has every store you can imagine and more! Seriously when my aunt and I got there we spent all day shopping and didn’t even get through half the mall. ( yes we came back Monday for more shopping before my flight back home that night of course) I don’t think my wallet is happy with me but my soul is. oops.

If you’re a nature lover, you must get out and explore, Washington has a lot to offer! We happened to visit Snoqualmie falls, the view was gorgeous. We saw the falls from up above then hiked to the bottom to see the lower falls. The hike was steep and slippery from the rain we got the day before, but the scenic view through out the forest was well worth the hike.

Through out the week we also explored many unique cities. Road tripping in Washington is the best, no matter what road you take you get a gorgeous scenic view, and I love how no matter what road you take, you see mount Rainer’s beauty peeking through!

what to pack for flights: carry-on essentials

flight-essentials

  1. hand sanitizer/moist wipes: yes the number one must have on your list. If you happen to forget something, hand sanitizer is one thing you don’t want to forget. There’s so many people in the airport and in the plane and you really don’t want their germs. Yes sharing is caring, but hey this rule doesn’t apply to germs. No thank you!
  2. phone/ earphones: download new music or podcasts to keep you entertained because let’s face it there’s not much to see out of that airplane window. You can stay entertained by staring at fluffy clouds for so long before you are bored out of your mind.
  3. chargers: another item you don’t want to forget ,or you might die of boredom once that phone or I pad dies on you.
  4. ear plugs: Because no one is trying to listen to a screaming baby or your snoring neighbor all flight.
  5. travel purse/wallet: have to keep your essentials and important documents all in one place, so might as well invest in that new Michael Kors bag/ wallet you were eyeing for awhile now but didn’t have a legitimate excuse for buying. Well now you have a great excuse so go treat yourself!
  6. a good book: once you’re sick of messing with your phone/ I pad, I guess you might as well open that book to kill some time. I mean what better do you have to do on that long flight ?
  7. snack/water bottle: airplane snacks got nothing on those Luna bars and well staying hydrated is important.
  8. comfy outfit: I can’t imagine that being stuck in jeans all day in an airport/plane can be comfortable so remember to pack some comfy clothes to bring with you.
  • what is on your flight essentials list guys?
